Music and nature at Parco San Grato. The “Teatro del tempo” invites you to some concerts inspired by the singing of birds at various times of the day. Two pianos will be placed in the park and enriched by the sound and rhythms of the percussion ensemble Drum Head.
Music from: Rameau, Schumann, Liszt, Musorgskij, Grieg, Ravel, Messiaen, Dutilleux, Cage…
The following pianists will be present: Gaspard Brunet, Andrea Corazziari, Antoine Didry-Demarle, Laurie Lepoutre and Eva Viegas and the percussion ensemble Drum Head with Luca Bruno, Leandro Gianini, Davide Poretti.

The programme will be repeated for three days with possible breaks or cancellations in case of rain. The association Ficedula is also organizing a bird watching walk on the 25th May 2017, at 8.10 pm to 8.40 pm
* Guided Tour of Carona
Discover the wonderful Ticinese village of Carona, its history, artists, culture and churches in one hour. At the end of the Tour it is possible to continue with a guided tour of Parco San Grato. The cost for each person is 15 CHF (only Village of Carona and churches), guided tour of the village and Parco San Grato: 25 CHF for each person. Meeting point is Piazza Montaa in Carona.

Journey in time, guided tour in Italian or German. Discover the great history of Carona, its artists, its culture and churches. The cost for each person is 10 CHF. Meeting point is Piazza Municipio in Carona.
***Guided Tour of the Park
The park is a haven for the most extensive collection of rhododendron, azaleas and conifers of the entire Insubria region. During the visit, you will relax by walking on the thematic paths of the Park, enjoying the sounds of nature. We will help you discover the history and learn about the owners of Parco San Grato. You will be charmed by the various lookouts on Lake Lugano, by the beauty of the local flora and the artistic installations. In German or Italian. The cost for each person is 10 CHF. Meeting point is at the entrance of the Parco San Grato.

Arrival with public transportation (bus number 434): We recommend using public transportation (bus) to arrive to Carona. Stop is Carona/Paese. From the bus stop to the park it takes about 25 minutes on foot (1 km and about 100 metres difference in height).
Parking: At the piscina comunale (public swimming pool) in Carona. The park does not have parking space. From the parking lot to the park it takes about 20 minutes on foot.
Restaurants: in Carona and inside the park there are several different restaurants. Ristorante San Grato, Osteria Ciona, Ristorante Posta, Alimentari Denise, Chiosco Carona, Ristorante La Sosta, Grotto Pan Perdü, Bar Tennis.
